lyrics

I heard the captain counting his pennies,
Was a conflict of motion he was caught in between.
But his eyes are sad when he thinks I'm not looking.

I've seen people at monuments who still want something to see,
But I'll make the trip all the while even though it won't fix me.

The servant's distracted by the great narrative,
But he knows he can't disrupt it; it can't be outlived.

In my world no one feels sick from their thoughts or their bones.
Ever since I felt ego death in Ohio.

Those blood vessels start to rest after a while,
My ego death always meant so much to me.
