What I've Learned / What I'm Learning

about

lyrics

Sometimes I dream of coloured worlds of no hurt.
Surround me in warmth & bright, sparkling, all-knowing glow.

All so distinct you stop just to absorb the thought
that all matters & does not, but none of it can be bought.

I have arrived, I know the secret to contentment now

I can see a thousand screens with different strains of possibilities, but it’s alright

Tense, but mellow, prudently waiting for wings to grow

There is no great secret
Now I’m dreaming that every day of the life not lived is the past

I grasp at trains of thought, ever present but somehow not,
an overarching melody that never resolves

Allow the many thoughts undulate into themselves, you into twists and turns, the likes of which you’d only read in a Richard Madeley novel.

They’ll knock you out of your centre, and at some point I realised that time’s the only thing we spend fades away, everything else is traded

Subject to change.
